About the event

The Men of Rho Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. present its signature scholarship fundraiser Suits & Stilettos New Orleans, 2024. This is a Party with a Purpose.

Rho Phi Chapter’s goal through the scholarship fundraiser event Suits & Stilettos is to advance the education of New Orleans youth through financial assistance for high school students entering college. Plus provide students with laptops to aid in their learning process and mentor Juvenile Center male teens of the Mellow Program.

Rho Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc, is located in New Orleans, Louisiana, also known as the “Crescent City”!  Our chapter was established on October 1, 1927, and bound by our four Cardinal Principles: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift. The Arbor Room at Popp Fountain combines chic modern aesthetics with functional design to create a space that showcases the natural landscape surrounding it.  Floor-to-ceiling windows encase two sides of this elegant structure, offering stunning views of Popp Fountain and the lush woodland around it.  The building itself offers sleek, modern pole tent architecture that provides the structure for a large elegant room draped in white. 

Making a difference

Programs of Rho Phi Chapter Uplifting the New Orleans Community

  • HBCU Scholarships
    + Scholarships issued to high school students attending Xavier University of Louisiana, Dillard University and Southern University at New Orleans.

  • Real Men Read Project
    + Read books to kids in grades Pre-K thru First Grade at elementary schools in the greater New Orleans area to promote reading skills. Donation of funds to the schools to purchase books for their libraries.
    + Annually distribute Laptops or Tablets  to students in 4th-6th grades at elementary schools in the greater New Orleans area who’s reading skills have shown significant improvement.

  • Omega Wise Men Project
    + Make monetary distributions and donate children storybook bibles to those living in Transitional Housing Shelters in the Greater New Orleans area.

  • Mellow Program
    + Work with the Juvenile Justice System to mentor the detained male teens within the system.

  • Thanksgiving Basket Give-a-way Program
    + Donated Baskets to Multiple Community Centers and Disadvantaged Families of the New Orleans area.

  • Easter Basket Give-a-way Program
    + Donated Easter baskets to various local hospitals of New Orleans for kids that are confined to their location.

Here is some helpful information regarding our annual Suits and Stilettos fundraising event.  Please navigate these FAQ’s.  If your concern or question is not listed please do not hesitate to send us an email to: support@suitsandstilettos.com

The appropriate dress for the Suits & Stilettos event is dressy attire.

  • Appropriate Dressy Attire
    o MEN: Suits & Blazers (tie optional)
    o WOMEN:  Classy Attire.
  • Inappropriate Attire
    o T-shirts, Athletic wear, Frayed or Torn Jeans are
    inappropriate!

This event has a no-refund policy.  If you decide to not to attend the event, please be mindful that your donation will go to a good cause that benefits the youth of the city of New Orleans.

There are not limits to the number of tickets you may purchase while the tickets are available. 

There are no sections or specifically assigned tables at this moment.

The tickets for this event are only available digitally.  The only exception is a small number of tickets being sold by the members of the Rho Phi Chapter of New Orleans.  If you know a member of the Rho Phi Chapter, please reach out to them to inquire about purchasing physical tickets.
